After Wicked, we caught the C train to Brooklyn to try to catch the end of the Sunday Smogasburg near Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5. Sadly, we got there around 6:30 so we missed the fun, but we got some awesome views of Manhattan:

We meandered down the waterfront until we got to Grimaldi's Pizzeria:
Grimaldi's also has the reputation for having one of the best (if not the best) pizzas in New York and after trying Lombardi's pizza 2 years ago, I couldn't wait to compare it.
Chicken and Mushroom pizza with fresh mozzarella, sauce and basil on a coal oven baked thin crust pizza
I tried this pizza first and I was really impressed by how everything tasted. The chicken and mushrooms were chicken and mushrooms, but the cheese and the crushed tomato sauce on the smokey & crispy crust were amazing! (I guess these pizzas are best eaten fresh from the oven)
Meat lovers! Pepperoni, Italian sausage and Ham
After the slice of chicken, I had this and despite having less cheese on the pizza - the meats just made the pizza so much tastier. I love the combination with the pepperoni and Italian sausage, fresh basil and tomato sauce; Delicious!

Overall: Delicious pizza! It's one of those things were you've got to eat it fresh. The additional toppings were expensive, but really well worth it. So good!
