Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich and Porchetta Sandwich
The chicken parmigiana sandwich was pretty good, it could have used a bit more tomato sauce in my opinion (I'll ask next time). The porchetta was REALLY good, I think it's better than Porchetta & Co. The pork had excellent flavour and they included bits of crackling.
Penne pasta
The tomato sauce was really good - it wasn't too sour or too sweet. I think they might do a good lasanga (something to try next time).
Tiramisu $4.50 and Apple Crumble Tart $3.99
Their tiramisu was so good! It's comparable to my #1 Tiramisu place, Paese, and it's a fraction of the price there. If only San Remo wasn't so far on the west end of Toronto, I'd probably visit them once a week or more just for their tiramisu. The La Rocca apple crumble tart had a little too much crumble and not enough apple.
Lobster Tail
Super flaky lobster tail pastry with delicious cream inside.
Lemon cookie - really nice soft cookie
Sicilian cake slice $3.99
This was the surprise of the day - it was the best dessert we had here! The slice of cake was so good we contemplated getting one more slice for the road, but we were worried about it melting in the car since. The pear was really nice and the ricotta filling was delicious. The crust was perfect too. I would definitely recommend a slice of their ricotta cakes if you visit here.
