Blackbird Doughnuts - Boston





Boston Cream
After eating a ton of Boston Cream donuts at Tim Hortons in Toronto, that flavour has become my standard for Boston Cream donuts. This donut didn't taste anything like that. It sounds like it has the same basic ingredients: vanilla custard in a buttery brioche with chocolate ganache. However, the vanilla custard was totally different and lighter in flavour, the dough was kinda everywhere (maybe because it was a brioche?) and the chocolate was really overpowering. 

I think I might have enjoyed their other donuts as opposed to this one. I might just stick to my Tim Horton's Boston Cream (it's my favourite donut there anyways).
