South Asia Malaysian Cuisine

 Our favourite Toronto Malaysian restaurant has been closed for a while, so I thought I'd try out a new place nearby. 
Malaysian Beef Curry with Roti Canai $13.50
I haven't had roti canai for a REALLY long time (basically since I was in Malaysia). This fried roti with the Malaysian beef curry and potatoes was pretty good and it complemented the dish really well by bringing out the flavour. The beef was tasty, but it would have been even better if it was braised/stewed for longer to make it more tender. The sauce was really on point with lots of layers and flavours. 

When we had the beef curry with plain white jasmine rice, the shrimp paste flavour and xo sauce was more obvious and tasted a little different from when we had it with the roti.
