Royal Caribbean Cruise (Day 2) - Allure of the Seas (West Caribbean)

Day 2 of the Cruise was an "At Sea" day as we were in transit to Labadee in Haiti.

So we watched the Dreamworks Parade and stared at clouds from the sun deck.
However, before we did all these exciting activities, we had to start our day right with breakfast from the Windjammer buffet.

BREAKFAST
Scrambled eggs with ham, hash browns, ham, sausage, muffin and a chocolate chip pancake!
This was way better than the continental breakfast at the hotel. It felt like everything was being made every 10 minutes since they kept refilling the food at the buffet.

LUNCH
We went back to the American Icon Grill for lunch and while I was waiting for my meal that I ordered off the menu, I grabbed some food from the buffet options.

Beef Bouruignon, fish, rice and a chicken curry.
The beef was pretty good with a nice flavourful wine sauce.

Chicken Burrito
It was okay - I wanted to do a lighter lunch to save stomach space for dinner. It's starting to dawn on me why cruises can be so dangerous to your health with all this delicious food.

Chocolate mousse cake and apple pie with ice cream
OMG delicious again - I can't give up the desserts here - they're so good!

DINNER

Lobster Bisque
Very flavourful (if a little darker in colour than I normally recall).

Double Boiled Chicken Consummé
Consummé is a clear broth that takes a long time to make properly. This was a pretty good consommé with pasta in the soup.

Escargot again! It was just so good the first time!

Silver Corvina Filet
Fish with a tomato sauce - it was interesting.

Filet of Beef Tenderloin
This was really yummy! The meat was so tender, juicy and full of flavour and the mushroom sauce was lovely.

Shrimp Ravioli
Yummy especially with that lobster sauce - I'm getting more and more excited for the lobster dinner night!

Chocolate souffle
OMG it was perfect and so delicious!

Lemon Meringue Tart
It's a work of art really and it was so nice - not too tart or sweet.

Strawberry cheesecake
Nice dense New York Style cheesecake with a beautiful crumbly crust and a strawberry sauce on top. Yum!!
