Ghadir Meat and Ghadir Fish are in the same plaza, but they are separated by a Convenience store in between. 

3 Appetizer plate: vegetables, batata hara, baba ghanouj

The baba ghanouj was really good. The fried potatoes had some kind of spice on them, and the mixed vegetables were okay. 

Top to bottom: Grilled Sea Bass and Sea Bream 

The fish were nicely grilled. The sea bream had a meatier texture, while the sea bass was more delicate. I think the sea bass absorbed the flavour better than the sea bream.

Fish & Chips $6.99

The breading on the fish is really thick, it almost takes over the taste of the fish. However, it is the cheapest thing on their menu since all their other fish is by weight.

Calabria Bakery

Veal Cutlet with grilled vegetables and potatoes $10.50 and lasagna $7.50

When we ordered the veal, we thought it came with sides, but it turns out they gave us the combo (which is almost double the price of just the veal cutlet). The tomato sauce was okay, so the lasagna was okay - it didn't have a lot of meat in it.

Papa Cafe & Bakery

I'm always slightly intimidated by Persian bakeries since they have so many different cookies and pastries and I don't really know which ones are good or not. Sometimes they sell individual cookies by the gram/pound and other times they're already pre-packaged. 

Papa sells by gram: $31.99 per 100 grams for cookies.

Th saffron chickpea cookies were great! Lovely saffron yellow colour and flavour. The pistachio flavour didn't really come out in chickpea cookies, but they had ground pistachio nuts on top which was nice.

Pistachio roulette cake made with fresh pistachio cream. The flavour is rather light and it's nice that it's not too sweet.

Pizzeria Via Mercanti

Ciambella ripiena pizza $20 and Linguine allo Scoglio $24

The cheese-stuffed crust in the ciambella ripiena pizza was really good. The linguine was a miss, the calamari were super gummy, stringy and chewy kind of like the defrosted frozen kind. The other seafood was okay, but the pasta and sauce were kind of bland.

Onnki Donburi

I originally wanted the Buta Fire (with charred pork) or Sake Lover (salmon) rice bowls, but they ran out. 

Steki Don

The flat iron steak bowl was really good. The marinated steak was cooked well and it was really tasty with the sauce and rice. 

Ebi Don

Buttered Shrimp and egg seemed like a sad substitute for my preferred options, but I thought I'd get the karaage appetizer to make up for my bowl. The shrimp bowl was good, but I think the steak was better.

Takoyaki and Karaage

Octopus balls with mayo and Japanese fried chicken were both really good. 

Nome Izakaya

Nome's Special Bento Box $19.80

Ebi mayo, baked oyster, short rib, Nome fried chicken, pork belly, salmon teriyaki in the lunch box and also a half boiled egg, pickles, salad, miso soup and rice

A really good deal since you get to try all of Nome's specialties in one lunch box! It's also quite a large portion since they give you a little of everything. There was a lot of attention paid to all of the individual dishes and they were all very tasty. My favourites were the fried chicken, salmon teriyaki, short ribs and baked oyster.
