I thought they were donuts at first, until I bit into it and it was more like a crumbly tea cake. 

Miss Lin Cafe

Miss Lin has a promotional offer of 20% off all take out drinks. We needed something to tide us over until dinner nearby, so we got some of their drinks.

 

Oreo milk black tea, taro milk tea, Coffee Jelly and Earl Grey Milk tea, black sugar tapioca milk tea

We got to try the cheese foam on one of the drinks which was interesting. It made the drink not as sweet. The drinks were okay for the most part - nothing in particular stood out (except for the slightly longer wait). 

Cordi Italian Bakery

Pistachio cannoli $1.85 and tiramisu cake slice

I found that the tiramisu had too much chocolate powder on top, I could barely taste the rest of the cake since I was so distracted by the powder. The pistachio cream was pretty good, but the cannoli shells weren't very good.

Punjabi Cheeseburger and Loaded Fries

The cheeseburger was pretty good, but the loaded fries were the best part of the meal! The fries had butter chicken, tomatoes, onions, crispy onions, mayo and jalapeno. Tasty.

Night Baker

The Night Baker also featured on Blogto's best cookies list, so my coworker and I decided to split a half dozen cookies at Royal Bank Plaza Farmer's MRKT to try it out.

Classic cookies (walnuts, dark chocolate, sea salt), campfire s'mores, Ooh Bae (ube and cheesecake) and mistachio (pistachio, white chocolate and matcha). 

The Night Baker has some really interesting cookies with lots of Asian flavours like ube and matcha. I really liked their classic cookie with it's soft inside and delicious walnuts and dark chocolate. The Ooh Bae was nice too, but the cheesecake part of it was a little strange to me. The pistachio matcha cookie had way more matcha flavour than pistachio.

Akropolis Pastries

Baklava

Really flaky pastry, but it does feel like it's missing some syrup or honey.

Big piece of spinach and cheese pastry - very filling for a snack!
