Burger Bar (Burger Week)

The second burger place I hit up:

The Burger Bar had terrible service.
When we entered into the restaurant, we noticed that it was super packed and that there were only 2 waitresses working. At first we thought that was okay and that eventually someone would look up and see that we were waiting in line and greeted us or something. Instead, the waitresses seemed to be ignoring everyone waiting and blocking the doorway since no one showed any indication that they saw and recognized us. They were completely disorganized. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a table and we had to snag it first and wait for the waitress to clear the table...
She cleared the table, handed us the menus and then promptly forgot about us. We tried to flag her down multiple times and she gave us nods like she saw us, but she didn't get back to us until half an hour later when we were finally asked about drinks.

We did some super fast ordering - a round of the $5 burgers for the table and fries to share. Then we waited again: turns out that the wait for the burger was shorter than the wait to order our drinks.

Local Beef burger infused with hops and topped with a house-made chipotle aioli

The chipotle sauce was really nice to start and added a punch of flavour to the burger, but it ended up getting too spicy for me once I got halfway through. And then I was back to trying to flag down the waitress to get more water. The bun was chewy - I think I liked it because it helped dampen the chipotle heat with all the dough.

Plus side: The fries were really good! Crisp and thinly cut
(and this was only $5 for the table! It was 5x the size of the fries at The Boiler House)

Overall: I thought the food was okay (the fries were really good), but the terrible service really wrecked my experience here. So overall, I wouldn't come back.
