Chin Yuan Pai Ku @ Metro Square

Another one of my favourite food courts in the GTA

The simple 10 item menu

The best thing about food courts is (1) prices are usually much cheaper because there's less overhead for the restaurants to pay, (2) you know your food is made to order since you can watch them cook it and it's always super fast and (3) you don't have to pay a service charge or tip to a waiter/waitress.

#1: Pork Chop on Steamed rice

Every time I've eaten here, I found that the pork chop is always cooked to perfection. The outside is fried to a nice golden brown and crispy texture and despite being relatively thin pieces of pork chop - it really retains its flavour.
The side dishes are also delicious! The dried tofu is soft and tasty; the cooked cabbage with sauce is really good (enough to make everyone want to finish their plate of veggies) and I think they make one of the best soy sauce eggs I've had.
All this with the pork and their special pork chop sauce over rice? YUMMY!

#6: Chicken filet on steamed rice
The chicken was really meaty and tender. It was really good, but I think the Pork Chop is the best dish they make here.

Overall: You've got to try the Pork Chop dinner here! It's delicious Taiwanese food at its best.
The food is really flavourful, the portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable (added bonus: service is amazingly fast since it's a food court).
